About the Department
The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 1999 with
one optional subject computer science for B. Sc. Programme. The need of
this department was for awareness of education in computer science in the
rural area. Currently following academic programmes are being offered:
1. B.Sc. (Computer Science) as a Major
2. M.Sc. (Computer Science)
3. B.Voc. (Computer Technology)
4.
B.Sc. Data Science

From the year 2017-18 Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) pattern has been implemented at B. Sc. Programme. Webpage Designing and Introduction to SCILAB courses are introduced as Skill Enhancement Courses. In M. Sc. curriculum department has included ASP.Net, PHP, Python Programming, IoT, Big Data Analysis and Soft Computing Courses as recent industry requirements. B. Voc. curriculum has been designed as per NSQF standards including the job roles web developer, Trainer for Junior Software Developer and Software Developer levels 5, 6 and 7 respectively.
